AKA

I've been here twice and had great experiences both times (with Georgie in 2017 and with Bobby in 2019). AKA has a wide variety of residents and they all vary in their styles quite a bit, so it's easy to find an artist whose style might speak to you. The shop is clean and cozy, the vibe is very laid back, and everyone is friendly. I don't have any tattoos I want at the moment, but I will definitely consider coming back here next time I have an idea.

I went to AKA to get my nose pierced (nostril). I only have my ears pierced, which I got in Middle School so I was extremely anxious. They talked me through it and were so nice and funny!

I got an appointment about 3 days from emailing them and they were great over email! The price was good too, only about €70 for it all and the saline spray. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are an American!

Easy to find and clean place that is extremely customer-friendly. Great atmosphere and even more terrific artists.
I got my tattoo from Sophie Lee (working there as a resident (and foremost devoted) artist and such an intelligent and curteous human being)

My appointment was arranged in a time-frame of about 2 weeks, which is next to nothing. I asked her quite some questions (ranging from necessary to ridiculous and right up to even cringeworthy) and she handled it like a professional. Next to her, every social worker and pedagogue looks like an antisocial misanthrope.

Not only did she ease my anxiety (first tattoo) with her charming ways, she guided me completely through the whole experience whilst, fully concentrated on her craft, giving me an original piece of art on my body.

I can whole-heartedly recommend (if not the whole AKA) atleast her as an out-standing, patient and dedicated artist.

P.S.: she can tell you 1-2 really bad jokes (at most though), so you are more concerned with the corny punchlines than with your fears and concerns.
