We only stopped for my little boy to use their restroom. I expected some push-back and "Are you a guest at the hotel?" but the front desk staff was very sweet and gave us an immediate green light.
Thank you, Holiday Inn Express Santa Nella.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Andrew M.Pacifica, Stany Zjednoczone801452957 lip 2009
We stopped at this Santa Nella Holiday Inn Express for a night this weekend. I have seen/stayed in many HI or HIXes before, but this is one of the cleanest/newest/best. Unlike many other HIXes which are essentially multistory apartment complexes, this was refreshingly open. Our room (221) looked into the courtyard towards the open air pool and gazebos.
The room with two beds was much bigger than I had expected or have experienced in other HIXes. It was very clean and even had a ceiling fan to keep the air circulation right. Carpet was a lower-end-of-quality (but well vacuumed). The lobby was a cool place - had a French flair that the kids loved.
North of the hotel, entrance side, is a connector road and to the west is the trucks plaza (part of TA Traveller's plaza). All rooms face the courtyard though, and will not be disturbed the traffic. Still, for those with keen ears, I would suggest choosing rooms on the east or south sides (overlooking the farms).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 22 wrz 2014
Loved everything about this motel except that, for a business traveller, the wifi was very poor. Something I would not have expected from a higher end hotel chain. Tough to do business when you can't get 'connected '. Rooms are great and bedding VERY comfy, however. Front desk staff were very friendly as well.

This is the only place I've stayed at in this area .. i was really anxious i was going to end up staying in a dirty little motel in Santa Nella. For a motel in the middle of nowhere this place is pretty awesome.
They have a hot breakfast (ok the food isn't the best but they do also have yogurt, bagels, danishes, decent coffee, oatmeal...).
Also there aren't sketchy people creepin' around.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lee B.San Marino, Stany Zjednoczone78411031 sty 2013
I've stayed at many a "budget hotel" in my travelling days and this place stands out as one of the best! It is really very close to Fairfield Suite quality, with nicely designed rooms, clean, clean, clean (which I would not expect in the middle of farm/cow country of San Joaquin Valley), and the breakfast.....well, my kids were talking about coming back to this location just for the breakfast! I had one tiny room problem on my trip north, and it was corrected by a few days later on our trip south (we stayed in the same exact room). The front desk staff is friendly, especially Charisma, and they were extremely responsive - I never had to wait at the counter for someone to come out from the office, even at 11:30 at night.
****In summary, the HIGHLIGHT here is how clean the rooms are, how well designed they are, and the generous breakfast with a very attentive hostess included! ****
If you need to travel between SoCal and NorCal, this is the place to stay in between. Don't ask, just book a room (but save one for me because I'll be back!)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Trip C.Seattle, Stany Zjednoczone04765211 sty 2009Pierwsza recenzja
We were on the return leg of a holiday road trip from Arizona to Seattle and happened to land at the Holiday Inn Express in Santa Nella. We were traveling with two greyhounds, so finding a pet room was the priority. We were able to map our our trip in advance of leaving so we went ahead and made reservations online with our room.
Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised that the facility looked new and was squeaky clean. The front desk was busy, but the clerk was unfailingly pleasant and handled everyone as quickly as she could. I could see the enclosed pool area through the glass doors while awaiting my turn to check-in, and was impressed with the entire facility.
Our pet room was at one corner of the property, and we made use of the cow pasture that was directly adjacent to the parking lot - our greys loved going out and sniffing all the great smells while pottying! The room itself was absolutely amazing, beyond our expectations. It was a huge, almost suitelike room and was updated and sparkling clean...no pet smells or stains anywhere. The room had both a fridge and a microwave, which was very convenient as we were traveling with holiday leftovers and goodies.
I will make sure to stay at the Holiday Inn Express any time I am in Santa Nella! Of the four motels we visited on our road trip, this one was the best.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jo-An S.Oakland, Stany Zjednoczone141424895626 lis 2013
The rooms were modern, and clean for the most part. The sheets made my skin itch. The room smelled like an old lady. There were 2 roaches in the bathroom. Pillows & beds were comfy.
Breakfast was disgusting and inedible. PASS ON THIS.
This was the best and safest option in the area... But at $100/night, I'd stay in a different city and just drive. The price is ridiculous for what it is and what you get.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Howard R.Redondo Beach, Stany Zjednoczone7122319 mar 2012
This Holiday Inn was great. Convenient to the freeway and yet quiet. All of the rooms face the courtyard/pool area so outside noise was not an issue.
Plenty of parking, breakfast complimentary in the A.M., frendly staff, free wifi, dog friendly and lastly a great spot (I think unofficial) behind the hotel for your dog to get some of the kinks from the drive run out of him.
Clean too!
Nice job guys.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nicole J.Pleasant Hill, Stany Zjednoczone171106 lip 2014
Had to check in extremely last minute.... The hotel we were at prior was disgusting, so we switched to this one and it was perfect. There was only one room left, smoking room (which smelled pretty awful) but I appreciate that they even had an open room at nearly 2 am.
Breakfast: It was alright, friendly atmosphere and hot coffee is always a plus.
Staff: Very friendly, the two staff workers there in the wee hours after midnight were helpful and enthusiastic.
Room: Like I said, strong odor of cigarette mixed with air freshener.. Bad combo. But I am a non smoker and the room was clean so I couldn't complain!
No creepy crawler visitors in the room, so you're clear on that. Would definitely recommend it to travelers off of I-5.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - ME H.Berwyn, Stany Zjednoczone020428 cze 2011
We stayed at this Holiday Inn express as we drove from Oregon to San Diego, it was the midway point, we were there one Sunday, on the way South, and one Saturday, on the way North. Easy off and back on to 5, a host of gas and food alternatives, and far enough away from the interstate that you're not feeling as though you're still driving all night.
This is perhaps the best looking place we've stayed in two or three years. The rooms are big, clean, quiet and all open onto the courtyard instead of the parking lot. The staff is superb, friendly, efficient, helpful. The breakfast includes hot food -- not just "toast or waffles" -- and the breakfast dining area is uncluttered. Good coffee.
If we have the opportunity to drive this way again, we'll stay.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
