I liked it! It's in a handy area of Retford, right near the Tourist Information Centre and the Bassetlaw Museum.
The staff are well presented & pleasant, the food was good, definately value for money and there were screens so I can watch SKY Sports News and keep up to date with the current sports events.
The pub has a very nice layout to it, definately worth a visit!

I live approx 20 miles away from Retford but tend to meet up here with friends. Find it a nice pub and good priced drinks. However, last night decided to eat there. On the bar was a sign up advertising the Vindaloo with chips or rice, no rating for hotness though, although later found out it is rated on the menu. Never had a Vindaloo like it. Full of chillis and unbearable to eat. I love spicy food and have eaten many dishes when over in Mexico. I complained as it burnt my lips. I was told , it was just my taste so couldn't offer me an alternative or refund. They brought me rice instead of chips and because they must have reheated the chicken vindaloo again, while preparing the chips, the chicken was hard in places. As a meat hygiene inspector this is totally unacceptable and I won't be eating here again.
