This was my first Yelp Elite Party! The Famous Jennifer T. brought me as her special guest two days after my birthday and what a great gift it turned out to be :) I love Aunt Chilada's, and it's right in the neighborhood where I grew up and was born and raised, so what could be a greater place for my first event???!

When we walked in around 6:30pm it was packed for happy hour, but we walked straight to the back patio where I have celebrated many events in the past and checked in at a table to get our name tags. Immediately to our left when we walked in we saw real live donkey! How cool is that!? Above the donkey was an adult pinata-I new it was going to be a fun time from there on out ;) The event filled up quickly after 6:30 and we got free cocktails at the bar (unlimited-no tickets necessary.) We grabbed a table by the front stage to save our spots since so many people were arriving and then we made our way over to the buffet line. There was so much good Mexican food to choose from! They even brought out a fried ice cream bar towards the end of the night. When we sat back down at the table we mingled with some other yelpers and talked to some people that my yelp elite friends had met at other yelp parties before. While we ate there was a margarita making contest and a cooking presentation from the chef and her sister who's family owns Aunt Chilada's. We got an interesting history review of the place and some cooking tips and mixology tips! My favorite part of the event was tasting the 1800 tequila in the ice luge and earning a free cape + a few other little prizes from the 3 olives girls! I also watched the hitting of the pinata and went for the gold when it was busted open! I got some tootsie rolls and ibuprofen. A few of my friends got little bottles of alcohol and I believe there were some other more scandalous adult items in the pinata like panties-too funny!

Thank you Lindsey for putting on such a fun event! I can't wait for my next event at the Children's Museum Ultimate Pleydate!

Let me 1st start off by saying THANK YOU to Aunt Chiladas & staff for having us! Also big THANK YOU to Yelp's Gabi & Lindsey, you ladies ROCK!

When I 1st walked in I noticed there was a live donkey!! A DONKEY PEOPLE! Heck yea I got a pic with him real quick, and did yall see he was toting some Coronas? I did. But headed to the bar and got me a house margarita on the rocks & rim full of salt! Delish!!

Then I really looked out at the setup, WOW Ladies! It was spectacular! Every table had balloons, a yelp bandana under the hat of chips, salsa, and Yelpstick, to help prevent dry chapped lips from all that yelping love it!!!

I took my friend Shannon with me, who is yelper, she was amazed by everything and had her eyes on the cowboys singing and said I want to sit in front of them, so we did! Haha

At this point we were torn on to which way to go, do we head over to the food, or head on over to the 1800 coconut tequila, we put our margaritas down on the table and went for the tequila, and had us a shot which we chased with pineapple, oh my that was smooth!!!

Then we headed over to the food, OMG I was in heaven!! Tacos, Tostadas, Corn Tamales, Mini burritos, all the fixins one could think of, I of course loaded mine with quac, salsa, jalapenos, cheese and sour cream baby!! And don't forget the veggie tray and fresh fruit, also spinach dip DELISH!! And Wings, it was a great spread!

There was a raffle of 3 baskets, and guess what I was lucky enough to be picked! I won the Rustlers Rooste gift basket full of goodies and even included a $50.00 gift card, which my daughter now has pointed out that she has been dying to go there forever....what a coincidence huh

Then we were entertained by Sarah? One of the contestants on Hells Kitchen, and learned a little bit about the restaurant, and that it was older then Arizona being a state, interesting story, also learned that everything you see on tv, isn't real, no really it's not real haha She even cooked us some shrimp with pineapple, looked delish, will have to try that out myself, and there was a margarita making contest and a angry bird pinta stuffed with adult items! WOW

Then desert happened, it was flan and sopalillas, the flan it was perfect! So delish!! Was sad when mine was all gone :( the sopalillas were perfect too!!! Also got to see so many fellow Yelpers that I have met along Yelpin my way!

What a great evening! Thank you again to Aunt Chiladas and staff & to Yelp's Gabi & Lindsey!! Another perfect event!

Best margarita? That's right! Right here people! It was the one and only margarita that I've ever made and BOOM! Winner. One and done. That's how I do. I'm officially retired from the margarita making business.

Big thank you of course to Lindsay, Gabi and the rest of the Yelp staff who put on another great event. I hope you all know how much the Elite squad appreciates these events. We are very grateful for what you all do. :)

This was my third Elite event and I'm convinced they will always be a blast. Aunt Chilada's hosted a fun evening which featured very good Mexican food, drinks, music, an Angry Bird pinata, a donkey, and a margarita contest. Still can't believe my margarita was chosen. Thank you to Stephanie H. for convincing me to make one.

      Other shout outs: Vern G., Kevin M., Daren C., Nick R., Kurdy S., Nader A., Sunny B.
It was nice meeting and talking with you all! See you at the next event (I hope)!

Greatest Margarita in America. Ok, well...greatest at Aunt Chilada's...that night.

A real donkey carrying ice cold Coronas, live cooking demonstration with Tiffany Nagel contestants on Season 3 Hell's Kitchen, margarita contest, endless food and drink, and one giant Angry Bird Pinata, No one throws a party like Yelp! I love learning the history of different landmarks. Who know that Aunt Chilada's been around for that long. As always, a big thank you to Lindsey, Gabi, Yelp & and everyone at Aunt Chilada's for this fiesta.

Kudos to Lindsay for another fun Yelp event!

I was excited this event was at Aunt Chiladas because I have always enjoyed the ambiance. I came with my boyfriend Paul V. and we had a blast. I enjoyed the food, (especially the tamales and fried ice cream), the 1800 Coconut Tequila Ice Luge was a hit, and of course the margarita contest! Somehow, Paul won the contest on making his first margarita ever! Go Paul.

This has been a great time to meet and chat with other yelp members also. :-)

Thank you again for this event! Hope to see you again soon!

One fantastic fiesta! I never cease to be amazed at how much fun can be crammed into a yelp event. This one featured a make-your-own margarita contest, a celebrity chef cooking demo, adult stuff coming out of an Angry Bird piñata, a burro offering brewskis, drink samples galore, and of course great food from Aunt Chilada's. And then there's the pleasure of getting together with other yelpers, including new ones. Thanks to Lindsey, Gabi, and the staff at yelp for yet another successful fun event. Olé!!!

Watch out for the Ass!! ;) Had to laugh upon seeing a donkey was on the patio!

With this being my 3rd year having Elite status, why in the heck I waited so long to RSVP to an Elite event is beyond me! J and I had a good time last night. :)

Drinks - Can not comment as to the adult beverages. Creating human life prevents me from consumption. I will say though that the punch or juice or whatever that was they had at the end of the bar in the beverage dispenser was...umm...interesting. It was almost like from a 2liter soda bottle that's been in the fridge for a month. Almost flat, but still has a little fizz to it. LOL BUT....The bar staff though was great in making sure I got whatever I needed - water, iced tea, soda...you name it...They offered. But the drinks were no limit - adult bev or not. Pretty awesome! :)

Food - All in all...Tasty! My favorite - the mini chimis. Bonus for having fruit and veg trays! And the sopapillas - very yummy!!
Least favorites - the tamales and the spinach dip. J dislikes warm dips - spinach especially. I love the stuff!! My excitement upon seeing the dip turned to disapointment after tasting it. So I dumped the dip and went back for more fruit, veg, and a couple more chimis. :)

Thanks to Lindsey, the Yelp crew, and Aunt Chilada's for a great event!!

The "J's" first Yelp Elite event - Hopefully not the last!! :D

I keep wondering . . . and wondering . . . and wondering: How can the next Yelp Elite Event possibly be a bar above the last one? How can Lindsay possibly out-do her previous YEE's? And then, damn, she's gone and done it again! La Noche de Yelp at Aunt Chilada's!

What a great location - Aunt Chilada's! Although the food was extremely good and there was plenty of it; and the service staff was, without question, on top of their game . . . the real Kick-it-up a-bar was the atmosphere. I know we all felt it. A real Phoenix Mexican party night. A great way to party with your friends and get to know a great restaurant.

Many thanks to the Aunt Chilada's staff, the sponsor's staffs, and to all the outstanding Phoenix Yelp staff. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

Oh, and Gracias to one brave little burro!

I'm a little late on this, but of course I had a blast!

I brought my friend Patty E. as my plus one and we made the trek from Mesa to Phoenix and were surprised at how many people were at Aunt Chilada's on a Wed evening, not counting the Yelp crowd. We made our way back to the patio and I'm glad we got there before the crowd so that we got to make our rounds before everyone came in. I definitely had my share of the food which was great, and the drinks (loved making my own margarita and not putting it in the contest, shhhh). Plus the samples of Super Cola and Loopy Vodka and coconut vodka were awesome. The cooking demo and the chef's stories were very interesting and kept me captivated, and the dessert was great. Fried ice cream and sopapillas? YUM

We had a really nice time and of course Lindsey and everyone always does a great job with these events.
