Casa Tiene Vista Winery

My husbands family discovered their city lights branded wine at 264 Fresco and wanted to know the makers, they found themselves at a small vineyard located in Fallbrook. That was back in 2018 and we've been getting bottles of their wine ever since. This past weekend we went to a wine tasting since they were shut down for better half of the last two years for Covid reasons. Only to find out that the wonderful owners might be moving and the wine is just as good if not better than it was before !

Susan and Mick are truly passionate about wine and started the winery from the ground up, their love for flavors come through with each sip. If you haven't been yet, give them a call and set up a tasting. You won't regret it!

Beautifully set in the Fallbrook/De Luz hills is a nice boutique winery called Casa Tienne. The owners Mick and Susan have provided a lavish setting with spectacular views. Great hosts and very friendly. They also have a winery dog named Cabernet.

This is not your traditional winery that's open daily or even every weekend like Warner Springs Wineries. They are open at least two times per year for the semi annual pick up party. Any other time is hit or miss. They do private parties and events probably more often than they are open to the public.

One of their main goals is to sell their wine to restaurants. More bulk sales oriented. The drive from Temecula Valley is approximately 30 minutes.

Be sure to call ahead to make an appointment for wine tasting. The wines are still maturing and I only found one wine that I cared for and that was the Rembrandt Pinot Noir. The whites I found more palatable....I enjoyed the sauvignon blanc and the chardonnay.

A must visit!!

This isn't a stand-in-line spectacle run by corporately trained employees. This is Mick and Susan's classy house, insane views, delicious wines, and fine company. At CTV you're treated as a guest, not a visitor.

And the 15-minute drive up from Temecula is a treat in itself, be sure to enjoy it.

A great out of the way winery. Mick & Susan are kind and generous hosts and their staff are always friendly. They sometimes have open houses for anyone to taste and other times they have great pickup parties with music and food. You can make an appointment for a group to go tasting at a reasonable price including snacks. Beautiful views from the top of the mountain. A place to definately try.

Nestled in De Luz, in the backyard of Fallbrook boardering Riverside county there is a hidden gem tucked away but know they are waiting to hear from you.

My wife and i have been to Casa Tiene Vista Vineyard at least 3 times with her family. Twice, we were here for a private party and once for a Valentine's Tasting Event. Mick, Susanne and Tess have always been great and wonderful hosts. For the two times we had a private party with my wife's family, they have been at the utmost fun experience...my wife never saw the bottom of her glass. Since i don't drink I'm always the DD, but Mick and Susanne are always accommodating. The private parties usually consist of a 5 course meal with wine tasting. Aside from their award winning wines like City Lights and Rembrandt, they also carry world class tasting balsamic vinegars. Tess is usually our server/waitress...she's super down to earth. The 3 of them always make us welcomed in there home. Oh yeah, the views of rolling hills and sunset make for a beautiful ambiance at the vineyard. The 1 time, thus far, we went to an open tasting for my wife's uncle's bday we enjoyed mingling with other Casa Tiene Vista Vineyard patrons who were also enjoying the awesome wines, stunning views and great conversations.

After meeting Mick and Susan at a wine dinner, I was invited for a private tasting at their vineyard home in Fallbrook. It was absolutely charming and I couldn't imagine a better day. My daughter and I had a delightful time. First, we were served a cool light salad and presented tastings of Voignier, pinot, chardonay, pinot noirs, and my favorite (Blackbird) merlot; a perfect blend of merlot and sryah.

To compliment our tastings, Mick gave us a tour of the property - vineyards, gardens, the pizza oven and amazing views.

Along with "Cabernet," the friendly family dog, a stunning collection of art, lovely weather all added to the ambience of wine tasting. We had a wonderful, relaxed, enjoyable and surprisingly educational experience.

Last night we hired Faro Trupiano to cater a very special dinner. It was a perfect combination of food paired with Casa Tiene Vista Wines at the vineyard. Starting with a plate of delicious cheeses and sliced meats. A perfect bruschetta, Caesar Salad, Melt in Your Mouth Fusilli Pasta and finished with both salmon or chicken main course. CTV Wines: Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Chardonnay, each course was perfectly paired. Served to a group of 20, my guests raved about the food, the wine, the ambiance and the service. It was a perfect evening. I got all the credit for hosting it, but Faro and the Gallaghers should take a bow for an awesome evening. It was the best party I ever hosted. They made it perfect!

While sitting at the wine bar, with a beautiful view of the hills on the outside and the lovely artwork on the inside, Mick entertained us with stories and educational facts about the history behind the grape, winemaking, and the labels. We received some fun lessons to go with the delicious wine. To conclude our visit, Mick led us on a tour of the vineyard grounds and gardens.

A trip to Casa Tiene Vista Vineyard is a charming, enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
